An all forged construction, excellent wear, and superior lubricity give the GYTR piston enough strength to push the compression inside your combustion chamber up into the teens for a more efficient and powerful combustion.
Yamaha understands the pursuit of power, that's why they set up the face of the GYTR high compression piston for additional mods with extra material taken from the valve pockets. This gives the crucial clearance you'll need if you decide to install more aggressive cams. For some models of machine, it’s possible to use this piston with stock gaskets (not included), which makes installation even easier since these piston kits don't need crank rebalancing to function properly.

- For the YFZ450R you need stock gaskets part #1376400002.
- NOTE: Increases engine compression ratio on YFZ450 to 13.0:1 (stock '06~'09 is 11.2:1), on YFZ450R/X to 13.2:1 (stock is 11.4:1)
