The Scotts Performance Shark Fin is a rear brake disc guard CNC machined from a solid block of 6061 aluminum alloy that ends up being 3/8 ths of an inch thick. With the Shark Fin you stop wondering when the guard will be damaged and start wondering if it can be damaged. It’s a valid question too. Some riders have had their Shark Fins for years and still rave about them. And what’s not to love? The design incorporates the brake caliper carrier into the guard, and the axle functions as a major support point. That way the guard doesn’t rely on weak tabs and simplifies your brake/guard configuration.
