The Roadsport 2 received two major updates from the predeceasing GPR-300. Primarily focused on high performance, especially in wet conditions, Dunlop redesigned their tread for better grip and stability across the variety of surfaces the modern rider encounters today.
Utilizing special Dunlop technology, the Roadsport 2 also features Heat Control Technology, or HCT. This unique design involves advanced tread architecture, using a different compound for the outer layer and base layer of the tire. This allows for different heat characteristics at the base of the tire compared to the outer shell, optimizing overall tire performance. Other technology like Dunlop’s Jointless Belt (JBL) construction for more response and better braking, as well as their Carcass Tension Control System (CTCS) for smoother distribution can be found in the tire, too.
